I've used an LCD monitor with success, but if you like demos you'll want to stick with a CRT. The LCD can't sync to the correct resolution for many of the demos.
For awhile I used both monitors with a switch, but ended up going back to a large CRT. Believe it or not, I now use my LCD on my 8-bit 130XE (I know, it's ridiculous, but it sure is crisp looking!) Okay, back to the CT6X!
