Boot/Rom-Port
Posted by: Raphael Apr,17.2007-10:13

Hi

finally I know now why whilest booting up in CT60-mode (Stoop/XBoot f.e.) the screen gets scrumbled: it's due to the connected interfaces on the Romport. I got a Emagic LOG3 and a Emagic Unitor2. The scrumbled screen remains bad on the desktop (plain TOS) when I do not load NVDI (for testing... ) and is ok on the desktop when NVDI is loaded. On the otherhand in MAGIC without NVDI loaded it looks ok...
When I connect only one of the two Romportinterfaces the screen is less ("half") scrumbled. Trying all this out, I also remarqued that when using my FalconMKX060 for an hour f.e. the screen is even worse. - So I suppose that it has to do with an electronical part in the falcon heating up when something is plugged into the Romport and gets hotter with the time. In 030 I've no problems. I got the 25mhz DSP mod and actually I run the CT60 at 92.6 mhz clocked through CTCM. - Does anybody have an idea how to get a clean picture even on booting up with the Romportinterfaces connected?

thanx

raphael
