New ScummVM Builds.....
Posted by: KeithS May,08.2006-21:58

Here we are with 2 different versions of ScummVM.

First we have the Stable version, which is patched just enough to build and run under MiNT and hopefully TOS.

And, next the unstable version:

http://www.radix.net/~kws/mint/scummvm-20060508-unstable.zip

For the unstable build, I have only tested Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. It plays Midi music thru the Atari's midi ports, but it does eventually crash (crashed on me in the third room in the intro). To activate midi, use -e adlib right now. I think there is a side effect of static through the normal Atari sound system, and I also think the 'talkie' feature of a game is broken now. Will work on getting this stuff straighten out (and hopefully not need to hack the adlib driver for working Midi, and hopefully eventually YM output or something similar that is lighter on the CPU). I'd share the patch, but it is a HUGE mess right now.....

And now, in these builds the following games are supported (only games not listed are the educational titles, which are also supported):

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Loom
Maniac Mansion
The Secret of Monkey Island
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
Sam & Max Hit the Road
Day of the Tentacle
Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders
Full Throttle
The Dig
The Curse of Monkey Island
Beneath a Steel Sky
Broken Sword 1: The Shadow of the
Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror
The Feeble Files
Simon the Sorcerer 1
Simon the Sorcerer 2
Flight of the Amazon Queen
Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
The Legend of Kyrandia
Gobliiins
Gobliins 2

I have tested the following games (in the stable version, about 5 to 10 minutes each) All are PC/VGA/CD versions where available:
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Near full speed with -e null)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Full speed with -e null)
Loom (Freezes, could be my copy of LOOM)
Maniac Mansion (Full Speed with Audio)
The Secret of Monkey Island (Near full speed with -e null)
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (Near full speed with -e null)
Sam & Max Hit the Road (Near full speed with -e null)
Day of the Tentacle (Near full speed with -e null)
Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders (Full Speed with Audio)
The Legend of Kyrandia (OK speed with -e null, cut scenes are slow)
