We also had these strange problems (black screen and "error flash device"), until we made sure we had pushed the 060 as far as possible into the processor socket. There used to be some old soldering tin on some of the 060's legs, so we were afraid of pushing it too deep. But then we removed the CT60 from the falcon, put it on a corner of a table and pushed until we got the "click" sound. There should be about 1 mm of the 060's legs showing.
