0.98e vs 0.99d

A question also concerning Nembench

Howcome i get massively different results from Nembench depending on if i use 0.98e and 0.99d?

Nembench produces these results no matter which version i tried, including the one referenced from Rodolphe's benchs page.

Basically, Integer and Float maths are less than 50% of the performance with 0.99d than they were with 0.98e (0.98e agrees with the numbers presented by Rodolphe on the website)
