The reason I ask is that I've found it slow compared with Aniplayer, even on a c.90mhz machine. I thought it was a performance hit for Mplayer not being a native coded and optimised app.
You've given me an idea, and there are one or two other things I will try, once I get the keyboard back working again. (See later topic on this bbs!)
