do you happen to try to start magxconf.prg from the autofolder? if so put it into magx' start folder instead, i.e. magxconf.prg (which does nothing else than execute your magx_rc.net script) needs to be run after those device drivers have been loaded.
you can also try to manually execute iflink, ifcongig, route using a shell like mupfel once magx is up and running to see how the respond.
