CT60 is gone...
Posted by: piku Aug,22.2003-08:50

Hey all, Just a quick note of warning regarding performing the 20MHz bus acceleration. I attempted it and now my CT60 seems burnt. Can smell a faint smoke smell coming from somewhere. I checked and rechecked my connections, all looked well and to this point I still can't find anything wrong. To prove I am not completely incompetent, I reassembled my Falcon back to factory state and it works fine. However in 060 mode I just get a strange resolution and my IDE hdd won't spin up. Worse I can feel the main 66Mhz oscillator actually getting warm as well as the SDR xilinx beside it versus the other xilinx fpga is cold. Even worse, going to the CT60 tos flash utility, it thinks I don't have one plugged in :-/ I guess Rodolphe is the only one who can fix this thing now....... Just be careful out there. The falcon is a hell of a lot easier to replace than the CT60. I was hoping if I broke anything it'd be the Falcon. I don't understand because I was SO CAREFUL so I *don't* know what I could have screwed up. Hrmm.. Or maybe it has to do with some apparent missing instructions on the fitting with solders page? Who knows.

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
