I've made a simple speed test. The test was to compile FreeMiNT kernel while playing mp3 with/without Aniplayer or Falcamp. Here are results of
time make 030
command:
Without mp3 playback in the background:
real 9m0,150s
user 7m37.590s
sys 0m57.775s
With Falcamp in the background:
real 12m18.730s
user 9,43.520s
sys 1m32.935s
With Aniplayer in the background:
real 20m4.983s
user 8m34.740s
sys 1m3.515s
Test were performed in 800x600x256c resolution, I used the same mp3 for each test.
Falcamp results are interesting: it is faster then Aniplayer, but user and sys times are higher than in Aniplaer results, it seems that his interrupt-driven player hides there ;-)
