FINBALLY i can use HDD with the CT60
I got a much more modern IDE drive and its all working hunky dory now.
FOr interest, the HD benchmark was around 22% pf the Hades now around 45% this seems to be enough.
The machine is now seeing TTRam and loading NVDI as well as letting me use HDD driver.
Thus the HD WAS the answer.
Just thought i'd let you know in case this helps anyopne else
