CT60 wont boot after flashing
Posted by: ausl8 Feb,03.2011-15:21

Firstly I successfully updated the CT60 TOS then during ABE flashing with the latest JED file with the Falcon in 030 mode with the CT60 still connected (resistor in place) the flashing process froze. On a second attempt I was able to flash both SDR and ABE chips successfully but now when I boot the CT60 I get red coloured patterned noise on the screen that moves sideways and changes direction every few seconds and the hard drive doesn’t start. I have re-flashed a few more times but the same thing happens. Any thoughts about what could have happened and how I could diagnose the problem and the possible solution would be appreciated! I have a multi meter at my disposal and am happy to do run some tests but would need some direction. I have looked through earlier threads here and on the web in general but I haven’t discovered very much.

-I have successfully flashed the latest and older versions of CT60TOS with the CT60 disconnected from the Falcon
-I have successfully flashed older versions of JED files eg SD5E & AB5M but it makes no difference.
-In the past I have successfully updated both my CT60 and CT63 (now flashed with latest versions for CTPCI and working fine) with the same JTAG (TOS version) cable.

Thanks for your help.
