Motherboard Capacitors C1 C7
Posted by: Crash Oct,13.2010-00:35

My CT60 Falcon remains stuck at black screen unless an SDR verify is performed from an external computer, so I'm looking at the board for any possible hardware causes. This is the case in both CT60 and 030 modes. My system has always been tricky to start, requiring a reseet after power on to boot properly, and it must have recently crossed a threshold.

Can anyone suggest what effect the motherboard capacitors C1 and C7 should have on the boot process? On my system, these have both been changed or augmented. C7 was part of the CT60 installation. I am wondering if a change in one of these capacitors may resolve the problem.

PS: Is the Human verification broken, or has the difficulty been increased to weed out the casual user? I had to copy and paste into another program to read it.
