Monochome emulation
Posted by: Didier Méquignon Jul,17.2010-18:41

I added monochome emulation inside the TOS Radeon driver.
It's finished, I fix some bugs (blitting routines).
I use the accelerated monochome to screen conversion, this routines is already used for texts and expand area.
The screen used is 256 colors packed, but the VDI see monochome Atari.
The mouse use hardware acceleration, and if the screen need to be updated, the next VBL convert screen.
But the bridge is very slow (actually burst is disabled), and without test for update screen (in continous), near than 50% of CPU time is used in 640 x 480. So I have set the limit to 1024 x 768.
The screen address is in STRAM like the Videl and Vsetscreen use Srealloc.
Now I have an old assembler Profinmat who works again using this mode.

Didier.

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
