No sure about the TOS versions but I've had this "reset problem" on all my falcons with accelerators including CT2, Afterburner040, Mighty Sonic and also my CT60. I dont consider this a problem at all, once you get used to how the machine works you know what to do and how to get it to start.
I dont think many people realise that the falcon is dodgy hardware made in the early 90s from cheap(ish) components and you cant expect it to work with whatever modifications you've done to it without complications or problems like this.
