About the boot screen :
- The flash parameter 6 is used for store the new modecode for graphic card (the radeon).
- The NVM parameter is used like before for the Videl.
There are no link between this 2 parameters.

About the desktop:
- under TOS modecode is stored inside NEWDESK.INF so you can destroy your videl modecode if you save the desktop.
-on other systems, the CPX actually try also to store the modecode on MAGX.INF and MYAES.CNF.

About list of screen, under NEWDESK there are 3 or 4 lists:
- XBIOS modes has 24 lines
- VESA modes has 34 lines ! this 2 lists are
- DRIVER mode has 56 lines ! static in flash (modeb.c)
- MON.1 list need monitor detection is variable.
x 2 lines for virtual screen (display = X4)

For monitor detection '*' is for prefered native mode.

Under the VIDEOCNF.CPX there are always 3 lists
XBIOS, VESA, DRIVER.
Monitor modes are added to DRIVER modes.

So if you not see static modes, there are a Setscreen failure (Milan sub code CMD_ENUMMODES).

The BOOT video selection inside CT60.CPX has only XBIOS list choices.

Didier.
