Dear All CT6x user,
I have soom question about problem with CT60 and disk drive:
On the begining I have question about settings in CT60conf.cpx
What is diference between settings in this CPX ?
OLD Boot IDE 0-0 SCSI 0-7 and New Boot IDE 0-0 SCSI 0-7.
what is better ?
Lately, when I set to new boot ... everything it is OK, and on the screen i see.
Keyboard OK (because I use Eiffel)
IDE 0-0 magnetic disk drive SEAGATE etc (model of my master disk)
IDE 0-1 magnetic ... etc (model of my slave disk).
But, yesterday I change to old boot and when reboot the computer it did not see my disk drive
I dont remember weel, but on the screen it was
IDE 0-0 error no disk
IDE 0-1 (the same)
SCSI 0-1 no answer etc.
and computer stop it and it did not want to run in TOS.
I have to change to 030 mode start the computer using floppy disk with HDDriver and CPX.
In CPX I have change again to New boot etc.
Switch off the computer I changed to 060 mode.
And in this moment I very surprised because on the screen I have not atari logo and
only two lines with this text (sometimes it was full white screen)
ATARI FALCON/CT60 Tos4.04
68060 Rev 6 Mask E41J
Earlier I corresponds to with Rodolphe and he said that
"There is too a keyboard sequence to boot 060 mode and force CT60 to read CLK value from CTCM :
Shit + undo or control + shift + undo... I do not remember...Check the CT60 manual from didier mequignon web page !"
I have done it and I was I lucky that the falcon in 060 mode works fine again.
But The question is: somebody know what is happened and what is the reason?
Because earlier a lot of time change the boot mode in CPX and change type of work betwen 030 and 060 mode I had not any problem with it.
Sorry for a long post.
Best rehards
Piotrek
