Yeah, beetle is right! You could also use the centek tools for NVRAM. I also made the experience that not in any case any tool works...

And if all(!) fails, start your falcon without(!) clockchip and insert the chip in the running system. This is *VERY* dangerous, but at OFAM 2008 I could a dead falcon bring back to life this way (it did just show black screen before). An other idea is to program the NVRAM with an other falcon, which I also have done.
