This more of your idle curiosity things.
I been twonking about with MiNT, trying to put an old setup onto my HD and it kept failing to install properly.
Although it got to the point where its done its first stage, and then it tried to load up MiNT but kind of failed and I was dropped back to the TOS Desktop.
Now, I noticed in this part, that my J: and my K: were both available.
J: is the ext2fs partition and the K: is a 140GB FAT32 one and I was able to see the files on both partitions from inside TOS?
In fact, the ext2fs partition even showed the long filename of the folder
lost+found
Only entry in it though as it was a bodged install.
Now, when I tried to get the partition info, the ext2fs showed it was 650MB and this is indeed correct, but the FAT32 partition didnt know and gave me silly characters, however when I copied NEWDESK.INF over to it, it seemed to accept it and it did indeed save it.
I also copied the GEMAES folder and that too saved just fine, so it was ableto have full R/W access clearly.
Never tried the ext2fs and I kind of siwhed I had done.
Any thoughts on that?
