DMA audio volume?
Posted by: PeyloW Mar,15.2024-18:38

I like to use STE DMA audio for sound effects, while also playing YM music. The YM music volume is quite high compared to the DMA samples. I see some posts on Atari forum saying this is an actual hardware bug, and has workarounds involving soldering.

I can counter to a degree by increasing the volume of the samples, but for loud enough to my liking the samples gets clipped.

Is there any known software solution for cranking up the DMA volume a bit, or lowering the YM without having a musician redo the songs?
