yes indeed, switching it on and off seems no problem, but it would be nice to restore the cache in the state it was.
i should reverse engineer the trap i guess, didier gives the commented source so it should be easy enough... just feeling somewhat lazy at the moment. or maybe not lazy, just disinclinded to reinvent the wheel.
