yes, that microwire stuff doesn't work on falcon.
on falcon you need to emulate microwire. the falcon audio system gives you 16 volume levels for the left and right channel independantly. you need to set these to give the panning and master volume levels you want.
$ffff893a.w is the register you need. the middle 2 nibbles set the volume:
$ffff893a.w : xLRx
you dont get as much precison as with microwire, and the volume is not completely cut off with minimum volume.
