We use automatic end of interrupt to save some cycles, the bclr you described seems to be 20 cycles, and doing that once per scanline (200 lines), there are almost 8 scans CPU wasted. Or almost 11 scans with top/lower borders away. 2.5% or 3.5%.

As you say, if one interrupt hasn't finished before next one happen it can probably become a bit hairy with the automatic end. But I think some real MFP wizard (Alien, where are you?) :) need to do the tech crunch.


So are we going to be treated with some Atari-release from the 1 Infinite Loop camp? :-)
