if I remember correctly, shifter in Microwire is clocked at 500KHz, therefore with 11bit frame should be possible to transfer about 45k changes per second.

A few years ago I did some tests and I was able to transfer via Microwire data really fast. In the best case ~112 cycles in the worst ~176 cycles per 11bit frame (I measured it with BLiTTER and I posted my results onto the Hatari Dev list).

But in my case I faced an issue with LMC, due to it wasn't able to react as fast as I expected.
