Can anyone point me in the right direction to some code that can tell me exactly at what point my code is crashing?
What I mean by this is does anyone have some code that can detect when an error occours, exits the code properly (shuts down interrups, restores palette/screen/rez) and then brings up a screen similar to MONST and shows where the crash occoured both in 68000 and memory location and shows the contents of the registers?
I need this because of a long running bug (which is also to do with my last post about the cause of an error) in my game. I can run the stage and go through to the end of the stage firing rapidly, filling the screen with bullets and everything is fine. On other occasions I only have to fire 2-3 times and the whole thing screws up. I cannot find a common denominator as to the cause of the crash.
I had some code that did this about 20 years ago but alas that has long gone. AFAIR some game developers used some code like this in their games to detect bugs (Ghouls 'n' Ghosts rings a bell)

What's the anti-troll code? That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
