Another Microwire Question |

A while back I posted a question regarding resetting the microwire interface back to it's normal state after playing a module using the Lance 50khz routine. I was pointed in the direction of the routine used by GwEm in his music player that was published in alive magazine.
http://alive.atari.org/alive11/mcrowire.php
The routine is fantastic and does just the job.
The problem is that every once in a while the STE will basically just get stuck in the loop whilst setting certain things with the microwire interface (see '.waitstart'). I know it's not the routine that's the problem however. Years ago when the TCB Tracker was released the same thing would happen when initialising the STE replay routine (microwire part).
So, has anyone else noticed this? Is there a simple solution and if so what? or is this a 'bug' with the microwire interface? I can't check when it happens as it only happens every once in a while and I'm not sure what is being set when the program 'hangs'.
Bod.
