Yes I had a Falcon once upon a time with an extra serialport. I used it to connect a terminal.
There were some issues, some of the pins were not supported and created some issues. As for driver, this "port" is simply the MFP serial as found on the ST so no special software needed to use it.
However today I see no use of it at all.
