We have the same problem with the TT. The clock for the CPU also feeds other things, so when you increase it, the floppy drive ceases to work. Well actually it doesn't quite, you can take a disk, format, write and then read it, but you wont be able to read it in anything else :-)

A trace cut and clock injection is the solution for the TT. If the higher end Amiga is anything like the TT (and it should be as they are incestuous cousins) then the same solution should apply.
