Hi,
dspmod in itself has a feature for playing a 4-ch mod and simultaneously play 4-ch sound effects.
The api for this is explained in bitmasters original dspmod source archive, which can be found on his homepage: http://syncscroller.net/ (dspmod.txt inside the 68000 folder).
Just a warning, you need a filesystem with long names to depack it, so better use freemint..
