It's been a couple of months since we got a lot of new releases at the Silly Venture 2020+1 SE. The next Silly Venture is due in just a few weeks and with some luck we'll be treated with some goodies again.
In the interim we've seen a couple of surprise releases at parties that usually don't get much Atari love.
First up at Deadline 2021 in Berlin, Rabenauge released a music demo titled Chipo Django #1 for the Amiga 500 containing a bunch of "chip"-Protracker modules. As Insane of .tSCc. is involved, he also released a version for the Atari STe (with Falcon compatibility on RGB screens) playing the same modules using Leonards Paula emulator. It's a nice set of modules to enjoy.
Then Assembly 2021 'Creative Tech' party recently had a surprise Atari Falcon demo from Extream called Trippus Lunaticus. It's probably their most polished Falcon demo to date with very good music, as has become to norm from Extream (hey guys, we need a music demo!). Awesome stuff Emphii, Mace and the rest of the gang, highly appreciated!

As most of you probably know, Silly Venture 2020+1 Summer took place last weekend in Gdansk, Poland.
The party was a hybrid of physical/online with a special supporter ticket if you wanted to vote without being at the party place.
We saw what could probably be seen as the best graphics competitions in Atari history. Very very good entries for XL, ST and Falcon. Then KK of Altair surprised many with an STe-port of his (work in progress) Dread Amiga game, that's a texturemapped FPS, somewhere between Wolf3D and Doom with very Doom-like style.
And finally there were some incredible demos shown, as expected from Silly Venture. The winning demos in the Lynx and ST demo compos are simply incredible. The Lynx demo defies all reason, did they not realise that's an 8-bit 65sc02 machine from 1989 they are working with?? Madness. And finally, most have likely seen it already but The Overlanders made a comeback! And holy cow what a comeback. Over ten minutes of effects, design, music and graphics of superb-quality. That's an incredible demo and it's wonderful to see Overlanders back after 22 years (don't forget the screen in Nostalic-o-demo :-)).
The releases are showing up bit by bit as does video recordings. Check out the links below to watch/download!
Thanks to all the guys doing these pictures, musics, demos, intros, games and what not, you're awesome! And double thanks the Silly Venture crew who served us with the online stream. Finally thanks to the guys who showed up for the Jitsi evening while watching the compos, had a great time :)

It's now a couple of days after the online-party ended.
We've had time to upload, record and get stuff in place for everyone to download.
In total we streamed a bit over thirteen hours over the course of three days. Amazingly, there were no major hiccups this time around. The hardware worked, the software worked and no glitch from Twitch side what we could tell. Some times miracles happen as it would seem.
I'd like to thank everyone who watched the stream, the contributors to the competitions and especially the people who helped with the organizing and doing content for the stream; Et, Daniel, Anders, spkr, Grazey, Il Professore, gwEm and of course Crazy Q for doing a huge job with the music, jingles, documentary and the concert. Much love Q!
All entries are now available for download from Demozoo including recordings of all demos, intros and music entries, check links below.
Now we're hoping that Sommarhack 2022 (July 8-10) will finally be back to normal. See you then!
