Howdy,
This may not be the perfect forum for this, and I don't know if I'll ever actually go through with this but...
I have a few spare SIDs (attached to a few spare C64:s) laying around, and I thought I should interface them to my Falcon and add support for it in Frodo.
However - which port/interface is best suited? The easiest way is surely the cartridge port, but IFAIK people might want to use this for EtherNeCs. The parallel port is one option, but then again, people might want to use it for other stuff.
The Tx/Rx signals on the MFP are AFAIK not used by any common peripherals - I could connect it there (through a PIC or something) and use a simple protocol (2 bytes; 1 for address, 1 for data). At 19200, this allows for allmost 1000 writes per second.. Too slow? Too inaccurate?
I really don't want to mess with the falcon expansion bus; although this should be fairly trivial stuff, shit might happen, and I don't have too many falcons.. Also, it would be nice if it could be used on the TT/STE/STE/MSTE as well.
Does anyone have any ideas? Should I wait for the CTPCI and get a HardSID PCI card instead?

What's the anti-troll code? That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
