just two ideas:
1. it's in fpu since camera uses fpu for splines and end-scene doesn't. And none of your dsp code used fpu, so you couldn't check it in more detail.
2. it's in cpu<->dsp timing on ct2a. since you code on ct2a, you optimise your code that is running on ct2a. some other guy with ct2b can optimise his code for ct2b, but it will not work on your ct2a. that engine is very, very time critical, so this is very possible.
