Won't sync Bad solder C501 under CRT, ck. nearby also.
Could it be this?

It may also be that someone played with internal hsync, vsync potentiometers, maybe to make picture bigger, wider whatever... that happened to me on my NEC. Otherwise RGB mode works okay for me.
