The only one for mono that I know about is Musicmon 1, it has separate execfiles for the colour and mono versions. Musicmon 2 only have one exec file, I'm not sure if that will auto-detect mono or not..
But no midistuff I'm afraid.
For midi there's a nice tool from Electronic Cow called soundchip synth. It's not a tracker but a midi controlled synth using the YM. But please note that this is not a program to make playable music with..
