ULS is the sole brainchild of Cyrano Jones.
What it basically does is allow loading of a file using GEMDOS even if the low memory area is trashed.
This is achieved by swapping in and out memory chunks when needed.
CJ built this because he was sick of his 2GB amiga hard drive being full and his 1GB ST disk having only 10mb :)
In short, look ULS as a ST version of WHDload.
The most current version I have on me is v2.1, which introduces fixes for Falcons and MSTEs (adding control of the CPU frequency, internal cache etc).
