We've been quite busy the previous saturdays to arrange something new for the ParaCon 8 which is: Internet access.
The plan was to create a long-range WLAN connection to our sponsor's house (Textildruck Fuchs) so we spent quite some hours on roofs, in trees and in the mud.
Reason why i am posting this here is that it did not work out yet, but we're giving it a last try tomorrow.
If it works out, we'll have a party-place WLAN with
fair bandwidth to the internet.
However, there's still a good change that it doesn't work out because there's quite some obstacles in the way.
But nevertheless, in case you need a special PCMCIA card or USB dongle for WLAN access of your computer, feel free to bring it along.
We might also be able to have one or two WLAN routers with ethernet sockets so that if your Atari has an ethernet interface, you might be able to hook it up there.
But like i said above, we weren't observing a realible connection yet, so it might still fail (unfortunately).
