Hi,
I would not normally make such an announcement, but I have decided to because of the emails I recieved since the last Alive diskmag release.
In it was written that I will stop development of maxYMiser due to lack of feedback.
This is not true.
Also, I think its a pity that personal conversations are published in Alive in this way.
I will continue developing maxYMiser as long as I produce YM chip music.
Wether I release new version of this tool in to the wild is quite another thing. maxYMiser is my tracker, and I only develop it for my use, and also a certain extent Dma-Sc and 505 who always have been willing to try out experimental features and give useful feedback.
I know there is probably more than 100 musicans using maxYMiser, and not just on the tradional Atari scene, or even the demoscene as a whole.
Only one thing will give me a positive sign to release new versions - and that is to subscribe to the maxYMiser mailing list which can read about on: http://www.preromanbritain.com/maxymiser
I so far have some quite interesting subscribers - for example a few well known coders and crackers have subscribed - I'm sure they dont even use maxYMiser themselves.
I see not that many well known YM chip musicians though... Despite all the maxYMiser music in the last YM Rockerz disk and released in other ways.
So if you want to see new versions, you know what you have to do ;)
version 1.18 is almost prepared...
