chris,
i miss the 'preorder' button ;)
but seriously, its already a great contents list, and as ZWF points out - massive work.
i would too like to see chapters on the 'reintegration' and something about audio on the ST, because theres surely alot to talk about there i think:
* the many different eras of YM sound
* Early digi-trackers like Quartet and TCB
* protracker MODs in STe demos
etc etc
it occurs to me that this stuff might appear not as a seperate chapter, but within the 'normal chapters' as a kind of recurring feature.
some people think that the 'reintegration' is already completed, but for me its 1/2way so far. maybe by the time this chapter gets it be written (if it gets to be written) then there will be something more to write about.
i like the way the contents list is broken up from being a purely linear chronological study, with the 'special' chapters as you call them.
would be also nice then if the chapters themselves would also be broken up with special features like mini-interviews, profiles and so on. but i think you've already considered that, based on what was written in earlier threads.
the way you describe the chapters already holds the promise of a great read. i think personal perspective has a great deal of bearing on the way that the atari scene was and is perceieved. but the way its described in your text gives room for most view points and interpretations in fact, so its as unbias as it can be.
