There are even converted Amiga demos to the ST/e, such as (but not limited to)
- Mental hangover
- Enigma (although was released in parts)
- Red Sector 3d-bobs
- Red sector megadeth screen
- Shadow of the beast menus/screens
- Various budbrain screens
- Spreadpoint screen
...
Then we have the effects, that most of them tried to immitate what the Amiga demos had already done. Yes, I know it was about proving the ST/e could do the same things. But in the end, one has to realise that what we did was more or less desperately trying to catch up and prove the machine worthy. And that's no small job! All honour to getting the machine to do all these things. Just that originality suffered, and the Amiga folks seldom got inspiration from Atari demos.
There is however a conversion of the "B.I.G." demo on the Amiga, showing Mr Styxcks YM-emulator. But it's hardly to to impress visually (it was done many years after B.I.G.).
You mention not aping the Amiga scene with 4-voice soundtracker. Why did the ST-guys to it exactly like Amiga soundtracker? Soundtracker is tied like a glove around the Amiga soundchip. On the ST it could easily have had more octaves, pingpong-loops, envelopes, and the software bits could have been improved with more sample places, larger samples, more patters and positions, separate volume column. Well I could go on :) Still, it copied the Amiga soundtracker right off, so, yes it aped the Amiga pretty much, IMHO :)
