I coded a reset screen for The Phatt Demo. It's a mediocre screen and I certainly don't think it counts as one of the best of all time.
I just write to make a note that coding such a reset screen needs a bit of care. As GGN says the ST is in 60Hz mode, but not only that quite a few of the other peripherals on the memory map (timer etc) are also in a weird state.
When your reset screen starts you do need a bit of care to sort the ST out so that everything is as expected.
Still it's very fun to do!
Punish Your Machine has a very nice dots reset screen
Also the 20 Years ST has a nice one from Leo (with some gwEm music)
One of the classic demos, I forget which now, starts as a fake demo and then when you hit the reset button the real demo starts. I'm sure someone with better memory than me will chip in!
