Zorro didn't provide any docs on the codecs themselves, using them as straight ldg modules could prove tough, since they only load scan lines. The zcodeclib he wrapped around the codecs really does the bulk of the work, including scaling and dithering, and color conversion, not to mention transforming it into a bitmap the vdi can digest. He also left out saving completely. However, that said I have had success calling it from gfa. ;)
