Ok, I had a quick stab regarding cache:

At first I just removed all CACR related code, reassembled the .ttp player and ran it with the supplied .mod file. I left it running for a while and fiddled with all f-keys, no hangs detected. Of course that's not a real stress test, I'll have to wire up something more CPU intensive (code or suggestions welcome at this point!)

Then I tried running it on 060, where I got an immediate freeze, no sound output at all. I tried adding a couple of NOPs after all hardware register accesses in the code segments that have the cache turned off in 030 mode with no change. I guess there's something else that's making the player freeze. Not easy to debug but not impossible, will continue tomorrow.

Any ideas or theories I should try are of course welcome!
